Information and purposes

When a provider registers, we collect the business name, SIRET, town, postcode, contact email, password, working radius and selected services. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than plaintext. The service also processes email-verification and invitation records, registration checks, listing material (including languages, descriptions and images where submitted later), review history and account-security information. We use this information to manage accounts, check provider eligibility, review and publish approved listings, prevent misuse, and respond to requests. The principal lawful bases are the performance of our service agreement, compliance with legal requirements, and legitimate interests in security and moderation.

Where an enquiry feature is available, its contents and associated contact data may be processed to deliver the enquiry to the relevant provider. Providers contacted directly are independently responsible for their subsequent handling of personal data.

Payments

Paid business memberships use Stripe to process payments. Trouvie may retain Stripe customer, subscription and checkout references, amounts and billing status to administer memberships. Payment card details are entered with Stripe, not collected directly by Trouvie's website. See Stripe's privacy notice.

Recipients and transfers

Access is restricted to authorised Trouvie administration and technical providers as needed to operate the website. The website is hosted through hosting.com (A2 Hosting, LLC); billing uses Stripe. Depending on these providers' operations, personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area under applicable transfer safeguards. Requests sent directly to an independent provider are handled by that provider.

Storage periods

Account and listing information is kept while an account or approved listing is maintained, followed by deletion or limited archiving where necessary for legal, contractual or dispute purposes. Financial records are retained for the legally required accounting period. Security records and operational backups are retained only for security, recovery and maintenance needs. For information about retention of particular records or a deletion request, contact contact@trouvie.com.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability where applicable, or object to eligible processing. You can withdraw consent where that is the legal basis. Email contact@trouvie.com. You may complain to the French supervisory authority, the CNIL.

Cookies

Trouvie uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie, with a SameSite=Lax setting, to maintain provider login sessions and protect accounts. Any optional analytics, advertising cookies or third-party tracking must be disclosed and made subject to the appropriate choice mechanism before use.
